Along the Way

Cover Art

Our cover is composed of entry and exit stamps in passports - the signed authenticity goverments require for foreighers to visit their country. Fifteen of our out-of-date passports were scanned. The combined traveling-in-stamps represent over 150 years of compiled travel: Lydia's father-in-law's 1920 Russian diplomatic passport, the three she inherited from her mother (French passports), plus her own. Max's passports representing thirty years of his travels; Skip's passports and, of course, his favorite stamp when he entered the U.S.S.R. - the one that has an Aeroflot plane.
